Una storia interessante che indica Kandinsky’s l'esame intellettuale nella creazione delle sue opere ruota attorno a questa composizione . Si esaurì durante i mesi di studio che attraversò in preparazione per questo dipinto , e ho deciso di fare una passeggiata . Il suo assistente al momento , gabrielle munter , che stava riordinando lo studio nel artist’s assenza , inavvertitamente girato la tela su un lato . Su Kandinsky’s ritorno , vide la tela , cadde in ginocchio e cominciò a piangere per la bellezza del dipinto . La sua nuova prospettiva sul pezzo avrebbe cambiato la sua visione artistica e la direzione per il resto della sua vita .
